Advanced Training Therapist Physiotherapy Fees

Standard Occupational Therapy Fees

Initial Parent Consult: $310.00

Initial Child Assessment: $310.00

Report Writing/clinical admin/travel rate: $220/hour

(We bill our initial appointments at 1 hour 30 minutes and follow up appointments at 1.25 hours to account for administration time). If you are accessing the NDIS and are plan-managed, there will be a gap fee for appointments as we charge above the NDIS price guide.

Combined Podiatrist and Physiotherapist Lower Limb Clinic

1 hour appointment: $496.00

Report Writing/clinical admin/travel rate: $245/hour

For our joint physiotherapist and podiatrist led clinic, the fee is the comprised of the combined fees for an Advanced Training Physiotherapist ($256.00) and Paediatric Podiatrist ($240.00)

Allied Health Assistant (AHA) rates: 

$135.29 per appointment

Each appointment is comprised of a 45 minute face to face component and 15 minute clinical note writing component with the AHA + time for the supervising therapist to review the plan and progress and discuss modifications with the AHA. Travel charges are billed in addition at the AHA rate at $86.79/hour +$1.00/kilometer travelled.

AHA plans are reviewed at scheduled intervals supervising therapist or every 3 month period, whichever is sooner. Therapy plans or modifications are billed at the therapists hourly rate.

Other

Any letters/reports that are requested or required that are unable to be completed within the appointment time will be invoiced at the therapists relevant clinical admin/travel rate.

Travel is charged for the time taken to get to all appointments and is charged at the therapists relevant rate. An additional kilometer charge is also applicable for mobile appointments of $1.00/km.

Saturday appointments will incur an additional $30.00/appointment fee because we pay our clinicians extra for working on the weekends.

Cancellation Policy

Any cancellations or appointment reschedules within is 2 clear business days (noting that we are open Monday-Friday) will incur the full scheduled appointment fee. This means that if your appointment is at 8am on a Thursday, you need to cancel before close of business on Monday to be outside of the cancellation policy. If you or your child is unwell, we can do a telehealth appointment instead. We do not accept medical certificates to waive the cancellation fee. If you do cancel within our policy but we are able to fill the appointment, we will not charge you for this time. Please be aware of this policy when booking appointment.

Appointment changes can be made by calling directly on 02 6189 8986 during business hours, replying to the text reminder or by email to admin@canberrachildrensphysio.com.au. This policy is in place to ensure we have adequate time to call another child from our waitlist.

Please Note:

  • We accept payment via EFTPOS for in clinic appointments. All mobile appointments require direct debit payment to enable the account to be settled on the day of service. We do not accept cash or bank transfer.

  • If you are a plan-managed NDIS participant, we require a back-up payment method to be listed on file in the event that the plan manager is unable to pay the invoice within our 7 day payment policy.
